Deciding what to wear for your Boudoir Experience doesn't have to be scary! It can be a fun and exciting adventure.
In order to go along on this adventure of figuring out what to wear for your boudoir experience, I am going to ask you some questions and your answers will lead the way. Let's look at this like a choose your own adventure kind of thing! And just so you know it is perfectly okay if you decide your adventure is going to take lots of twists and turns, this isn't like those old school choose your own adventure books where if you pick the wrong choices you end up at "The End" before you are ready.
1st Question: How do you want to be portrayed?
Deciding how you want to be portrayed in your images is a very important first step. It is a great way to get in the boudoir mindset, deciding which character or characters you want to play. Which sides of your personality do you want to be upfront? One of the reasons I have 3 outfit changes as the normal is because you can get a mix of personas in your final images. There is no reason why you shouldn't show off all the amazing sides of your personality!
I want to be portrayed as Soft, Feminine, & Coy
When are looking for your images to have a softer feeling it is a great time to choose outfits that are lighter in color. Think pastels, lace, sheer, chiffon, pearls, and items that make you feel girly. This style is perfect for bridal boudoir! You can also stick with darker colored lace as well, it about the posing too! Because a little black lace outfit can go from girly to fierce with a change in pose!
I want to be portrayed as Sporty & Flirty
When you are looking for more of a flirty and sporty look, great options include oversized sweaters, button up shirts, and more of a full coverage bra and panties. An outfit doesn't have to be overly revealing to be flirty! It is more about leaving something to the imagination on this one!
I want to be portrayed as Bold, Fierce, and Badass
Everyone has a little badass inside and taking the opportunity to let our your inner (or ever present) fierceness is empowering! So you go girl, you got this! This is when I would recommend dark lace, bold colors, corsets, heels, and if you're ready to push the envelope using your hands to cover up important bits and pieces.
