One of the biggest misconceptions about boudoir parties is that everyone is involved in all the shoots, and that just isn't the case. For parties I like to get to know each and every girl (or boy) individually. Once I know what they want and what style they are looking for I arrange the shooting order. Then day of the party we all met up at either my in home studio or at one the beautiful rentals that I love to use. Then the fun begins. 

If the party has requested hair and make-up then I bring in those professionals first, and as each person is ready I begin shooting each person individually. When it comes to friends being in the same room, it is perfectly okay and up to each individual. 

I've had instances where each girl kept the door closed while shooting and kept it all every private, and I've had groups of friends that were walking back and forth asking for tips on their clothing and hair, swapping ideas and suggestions. I've had groups that girls that stood in the background giving words of encouragement and groups where the've asked for a group shot or two.

It really is just about everyone having fun and being themselves. Friends can bring out a level of bravery in us that can be hard to tap into on our own, which is one of the reasons I offer the party option as a package.
