Join Me with What I'm Getting Rid of This Year
1. I'm going to let go of feeling like I have to be the perfect Pinterest mom, my daughter doesn't care if everything is picture perfect.
It took me far too long to realize I'm not picture perfect. As much as I thought I would be the type of mom that would have snacks color coded, be doing special projects every day, and do everything magazine worthy. I realized that isn't really a reality for me. Now if it is for you that is great, but for me, it just isn't going to happen. And here is the kicker. My kid doesn't care. I'm a better mom being a mom my way, then trying to fit someone else's box of what motherhood should look like. So if you're trying to push yourself in a box, just let it go, and be you.
2. I'm going to let go of trying to do everything. This means I better figure out how to start asking for help.
This one was hard to write down, and I bet will be even harder to follow.
3. I'm going to let go of trying to push myself in every direction of my business and I'm going to focus on the parts I really love.
4. I'm going to let go of saying yes too often, it is time to start working on some boundaries.
I say this, but I know this will be my hardest thing to let go of. I'm going to practice...no...NO...no. Yep this is going to be hard!
5. I'm going to let go clothing that doesn't make me feel good!
I'm really looking forward to this, I realized so much of what I have been holding on to really aren't things I think I would wear anymore even if I could. Keeping clothing you "might fit into" isn't motivation it is putting yourself down. So I'm not doing that anymore.
